Acclaimed artist Zulfiqar Rashid's vibrant acrylic work Kun Fayakoon كُنْ فَيَكُونُ (God said Be, and it Was), presented as a gallery wrapped canvas print for you to cherish.
Kun fa-yakūn is an Arabic phrase that means 'Be! and it is!', a sign of God's mystical creative power. The phrase appears eight times in the Quran including in Surah Ya-sin and also in Surah Baqara.
The fluid lines of the Arabic calligraphy with parts of the two words appearing to fall outside of the canvas give it a sense of motion and expansion. And colors simple and clean, with a vibrancy that bursts out of the canvas to convey the power of ‘kun fa-yakūn’.
Each vivid, fade-resistant print is expertly hand stretched and wrapped on artist grade canvas and shipped to you mounted on a frame and ready to hang.
